On August 27, a solidarity rally in support of Israel was held in the Swiss capital Bern, attended by about 500 participants. The event served as a public statement against antisemitism and in support of the State of Israel.
Among the numerous speakers and guests of honor, was also invited March of Life founder, Jobst Bittner.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of solidarity with Israel and discussed the vision of further March of Life events both in Switzerland and worldwide. His words inspired the participants and strengthened the common will to set a sign against antisemitism.
Although the weather was very bad with heavy rain at times, the participants were not deterred from publicly expressing their friendship with Israel.
Already on September 24, a March of Life for Israel will take place along one of the most important and famous hiking trails in the country, the “Swiss Path”.
