A significant milestone: Last month, the first March of Life took place in Nigeria. This year, the message of remembrance, reconciliation, and solidarity has now reached the African continent as well.
Pastor Joseph Elijah from Aba City in Abia State organized the march together with the local Jewish community. In a country that has been increasingly shaped by the threat of radical Islamist groups for many years, they sent a strong and publicly visible message of friendship and solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people.
In early June, more than 300 participants marched through the streets of Aba City in a joyful march characterized by dancing and singing. With their march, they publicly declared their commitment to reconciliation, their opposition to antisemitism, and their solidarity with Israel. The first March of Life in Nigeria is an encouraging sign that the message is spreading across continents and bringing people together.
