Never Again is Now

Remembering Kristallnacht and the Hamas Pogrom

When synagogues were burned throughout Germany on November 9, 1938, Jewish stores were destroyed and thousands of Jews were beaten up, locked up in concentration camps and murdered, the reaction in Germany and around the world was silence and indifference. 6 years later, 6 million Jews in Europe had been murdered at the hands of the Germans.

When Hamas attacked southern Israel in a brutal pogrom on October 7, 2023, 1,400 Israelis were murdered and entire kibbutzim were burned to the ground. Over 240 people, including many children, women and elderly people, are still being held hostage in the Gaza Strip today.

What is our reaction? Will we just go back to business as usual or will we actively stand up for Israel and for Jewish life? What are we prepared to do to oppose Antisemitism at all times?

The global pledge after the Holocaust was “Never again!”. NOW is the time to keep this promise. That’s why: NEVER AGAIN IS NOW.
