Marches of Life in the year 2025

80 years ago, on May 8, 1945, the Holocaust ended with the Second World War. 6 million Jews were murdered and Jewish life in Europe was almost wiped out. It is a miracle that the survivors found the strength to rebuild their lives. But to this day, their descendants suffer from the trauma of concentration camps, ghettos and death marches. The terrible experience gave rise to the cry: “Never again!”

On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked southern Israel and carried out the largest pogrom against Jews since the Holocaust. On the same day, a veritable flood of anti-Semitism set in, which continues to shake the entire world today in ever new waves of hatred against Israel and the Jewish people. In many descendants of Holocaust survivors, the feeling is growing stronger: “It could happen again!”

Then as now, indifference and silence are the soil in which the greatest injustice can thrive. That is why we are calling on people to raise their voices in 2025 with the March of Life:

  • We will not be silent – and carry on the legacy of Holocaust survivors, against all calls for a line to be drawn!
  • We will not be silent – about the history of antisemitism in our own cities, churches and families!
  • We will not be silent – about modern antisemitism, which today takes the form of antizionism!
  • We will not be silent – and will stand publicly and in friendship on the side of the State of Israel!
